About GSMB

A local development layer for community broadband.

Garden State Municipal Broadband is being developed around a straightforward idea: municipalities interested in community broadband should not have to become telecommunications companies to make it possible.

Why GSMB exists

Broadband projects cross engineering, construction, finance, operations, public procurement and community engagement. GSMB's role is to coordinate those disciplines around the municipality's objectives and create a practical path from early interest to an informed project decision.

Our initial focus is New Jersey, with an emphasis on understanding the needs and constraints of individual communities rather than forcing every municipality into the same model.

Michael Sundy — Founder

Michael founded Garden State Municipal Broadband around the idea that New Jersey municipalities should have a practical way to explore community broadband without first building an internal telecommunications organization.

GSMB is being developed as the project-development and coordination layer connecting municipalities with experienced engineering, construction, financing and network-operating capabilities.
